Bike Tour Experience in Bali

If we can find the time, we make sure to have some holiday with the family. This time it was Bali.... Our 2nd day was full of fun and adventure. It was not just the usual exploring the place on a van but we decided to do a bike tour in an area of the island.

We were picked up by Sobek adventure and drove 2 hours to Bas for some coffee tasting then breakfast overlooking the volcano. Then we proceeded to experience the downhill trail from Pengotan village that led us through sleepy villages along little used roads and tracks on a bike

. The air- conditioned escort vehicle was on standby until the end of the tour.

Our guide Sinchian was a great guide/biker. He also shared to us a broad depth of knowledge in Balinese culture and lifestyle while we were going thru the villages.

The journey offered an insight into a Bali that is not commonly seen, and allowed us to experience the charming culture of rural Bali. A fantastic day out packed with interest, and fun!

We ended the tour with Indonesian lunch and a visit to an art gallery.

It was one great family experience.

The Bull Runner - My First Full Marathon Experience

i run 42K in 6 hours and about 22 minutes. That was one life changing experience that I have done in my lifetime. Have to thank Isidro Vildosola, a paralympian - my pacer. He was also my photographer, motivator, entertainer and even offered to carry my belt bag all the way so i did not have to be burdened carrying it considering he only had one hand. He had so many fans and he knew a lot of the runners....i was so blessed to have a celebrity to pace with me.

I also have to mention that i completed praying for the different mysteries of the rosary...i would pray , then listened to music, then prayed again using my android. Before the finish line , my garmin and 2 phones that i used as timer and to listen to music conked out .

The cool weather was great and it made it more comfortable and relaxing especially on the ist 21K. The last 4K was the worst route and i had that feeling that it was never going to end. I am just glad I made it. As Jaymie would tell Mia , if one has done the nuvali route, the new york marathon will be a breeze....hmmmmmm!!!!

I Have to thank Christy Tutor for the efforts she gave me while training. Also to Adonis Singson for also motivating me during our training at the oval in cebu.

Congratulations to the organizer for the success of the event. It was the best organized run i ever experienced. I did not have to deal with fumes, cars, trucks n enjoyed the peace, serenity n coolness of the area. I was busy taking pictures of people n the sights that i forgot to even take pictures of the kikay tent. I regretted not having dropped by n have time to fixed my hair in that tent. I think from what i gathered the tent was a place were u could freshen up n make sure still look good in the finish line. They also had a tent for the mommies who needed to pump out milk from their breast.

We stayed at the Paseo Premier Hotel for the night. The hotel was so near the branded outlet stores....of course the shopping could not be missed.

i am so glad i allowed myself to face the challenge. It made it more fun experiencing it with miki my daughter, maur my twin, my cousins mia monchu ann vic n joy n new found friends ria jo and tanya.

As they say In running, it doesn't matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say, 'I have finished.' There is a lot of satisfaction in that. - FRED LEBOW
